The opening concert of the Liszt Fest invites you on an exciting journey through different genres, as the Modern Art Orchestra, led by Kornél Fekete-Kovács, performs one of Ferenc Liszt’s most unique pieces. The composition is connected to 20th century music in a great many ways, and the concert will prove that the greatest masterpieces admit a wide variety of interpretations.
The concert features such greats of jazz and classical music as Sherry Williams, one of the most magical American jazz singers, and the great Hungarian soprano Lilla Horti. To make the experience even more unique, two organists will join forces: András Gábor Virágh is also an eminent composer of his generation, while Brian Charette is a leading figure in the New York jazz scene.
